Funny things

Reed: "Mom, I can go pee and poo and the same time, it's my new talent."

Reed: "Mom, I know what diarreah is! It's melted poo!"

Alan: "Reed! You're getting on my nerds (nerves)!"

Reed "Kitty's are really good at sniffing."

No more turqoise!

Last weekend I painted my kitchen again. Alan and Reed REALLY wanted to help, so while Rob ran errands with Sophie, my boys and I painted the kitchen. They actually did a pretty good job. About 20 min into the project they decided that they needed hats to help them paint. Alan chose the 'Bob the Builder' hat and Reed chose the 'Indiana Jones' hat of course. I think the yellow kitchen just might stay a while. After one coat of primer and two coats of yellow, it is done!

Sophie LOVES BUTTER!

I was in the bathroom giving Reed a bath, when I heard the SCREEEEECH of a chair being moved across the floor in the kitchen. I tell you that sound strikes fear into my bones! Sophie found where I keep the butter.....guess I better find a new spot.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I've had a GREAT Valentine's Day. Rob brought home one dozen red roses and a sugar cookie from my favorite bakery. Now sadly only eleven roses left.......but they are still beautiful.

Reed and Alan got a Valentine from Rob and I with a giant Hershey Kiss. They are really eating them pretty fast, although maybe it's because I am helping them eat them. I love chocolate!

Kids update

Sophie is into everything. She LOVES getting into the silverware drawer lately. I noticed the other day that all but 3 knives are missing.

I don't know where they are. I suspect that they have been thrown away in the kitchen trash and are not coming back. I just thought all my knives were dirty........not so.
Alan is learning to play the piano. I am attempting the piano lessong thing..... Some days are really good, some days are not. We are being consistent though. He told me today that he is going to practice each piece 15 times because he did not practice on Saturday or Sunday. We'll see what happens. I too have grandious ideas of accomplishing many great and wonderful tings at 7am...........

Alan is also into making elaborate crafts. Right now he is working on an hour glass made out of two 2 lieter plastic soda bottles, rice and duct tape. Right now the components are sitting on my counter, waiting for his return from school to be assembled.

Reed lost his first tooth. It was not a natural loss. It was knocked loose a couple of months ago by playing outside and roughhousing. I noticed that his tooth was laying practically on it's side on Saturday night. I talked him into pulling it out himself and he did. The Tooth Fairy came and everything. He's very proud of the gap in his mouth.

Reed LOVES ( and that is an understatement) playing with Legos. His most recent creationg this morning is "The Indiana Jones Bad Guy Car".
Apparently the difference between a bad guy car and a good guy car are the windows. Good guy cars don't have windows. Now you know the difference. I now can sleep better tonight and now you can too.
Better go, I can hear the sounds of little hands in the silverware drawer! Seriously I really can.
